CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A woman from Charlotte is one of the winners in South Carolina's Powerball drawing.

Lori Sgarlata, 41, purchased her winning ticket at the Circle K convenience store in Fort Mill.

Sgarlata bought one of five tickets that matched the first five numbers. The other winning tickets were sold in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota and Pennsylvania.

The Powerball jackpot was worth $36 million, but no one matched all the correct numbers.

The winning numbers were 9-10-38-42-43 and the Powerball was 5.

The jackpot will now increase to an estimated $44 million for Saturday's drawing.

Sgarlata already has plans for prize; she plans to pay off some bills. ClientIP: UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
