UNION COUNTY, N.C. -- The State Bureau of Investigation is assisting the sheriff's office with the investigation of a triple homicide in Union County.

Officials say they're following every lead, searching for the person or persons responsible.

A neighbor found the bodies of 61-year-old Jerry Marsh, 46-year-old Ronnie Overcash and 38-year-old Crystal Hicks at a home on Landsford Road on Saturday morning.

The sheriff said Marsh was a local farmer and Ronnie Overcash was one of his employees.

They also said Hicks was Overcash's girlfriend.

Officials have not released information on how the victims died.

Union County Sheriff Eddie Cathey tells us they still trying to put all of the pieces together. He says they are following up on every phone call and every lead.

"We are taking our time it is very serious to us and this community. We want to make sure we cover everything that possibly could help us in this case," said Cathey.

Cathey says they're not leaving any time soon, and they plan on staying at the scene through Monday.
