CHAPEL HILL — The UNC Tar Heels football program kicked off training camp Friday.
It is their first camp under new head coach Larry Fedora. He replaced Butch Davis, who was fired amid allegations of academic misconduct and player-agent relations within the program. The NCAA handed down sanctions that included a bowl ban for next season, a loss of scholarships, vacated wins, and a $50,000 fine.
The Tar Heels finished with 7 wins and 6 losses last season.
