FORT BRAGG -- Two Fort Bragg special forces soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan. Military officials say 27-year-old Warrant Officer Joseph Schiro and 25-year-old Staff Sgt. Justin Marquez died over the weekend from gunshot wounds they suffered while on patrol.

Marquez is from Aberdeen in Moore County. They were assigned to the 1st Special Forces Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group.
