Some Wayne county EMS workers who've been getting paid the wrong amount are hoping the problem will soon be fixed.
The board of commissioners held an information-gathering session Monday after EMS and 911 workers raised concerns some getting paid too much, while others not enough on their paychecks.
It's because the county recently switched to an electronic payroll-system, which is posing a problem to overtime amounts.
"We want things fixed. And it's not as any kind of scare tactic, it's not in revolt and I said previously, we're here as a family making sure we get paid correctly,” said Christopher Barnes, with the Wayne County EMS
The county said to fix the problem, it may switch to a regular overtime system this December.
