FORT BRAGG — Hundreds gathered on Fort Bragg for a career fair on Wednesday.

The career expo is a way for enlisted men and women to transition into the civilian world after serving in the military. The expo featured vendors and schools from around the nation and world.

Organizers for the event say it is a great way for soldiers to find the right career path.

"It's very rewarding but it's also a great opportunity to see a lot of our companies and a lot of our organizations who want to hire veterans, who want to give back to the military by saying, 'Hey, we'll not only give you a job, we'll give you a career path if it's something you are interested in.'," said organizer Randy Plunkett of Military.com

Throughout the day nearly 2,000 people were expected to attend.
