RALEIGH -- It's time to get a head start on your holiday shopping. Starting Thursday the Junior League of Raleigh is hosting it's 28th annual "A Shopping Spree" to help various causes around the Triangle.

For the next four days, the Junior League of Raleigh will play host to more than 100 vendors from across the country. But the best part of all is that the money raised will help fund youth programs in the area.

"This year we have more than 170 vendors which is 25 percent more than we had last year," said Pat Wilkins, the president of Junior League of Raleigh. "We're looking forward to record attendance."

From fashion to home decor and holiday goods, it's a great way to get those checklists crossed off before the big shopping season begins while helping the junior league carry out its mission to support programs that target area youth.

"We are a training organization. We develop the potential of women," said Wilkins. "We promote volunteerism and we give back to our community by training our member volunteers to go out and help non profits."

The event runs through Sunday. General admission is $10 for a four-day pass. Doors open Thursday at 11 a.m. and will stay open until 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, on Saturday until 6 p.m. and on Sunday until 5 p.m.
