MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- NASCAR driver Travis Kvapil was back in an Iredell County courtroom on Thursday. Mooresville police arrested Kvapil back on Oct. 8 for domestic abuse. His wife Jennifer appeared with him and asked the judge to let the driver move back home.

Mooresville Police Department released the 911 call on Thursday. This call came from Kvapil's house.

Kvapil's wife cried for help from responders.

"Ma'am?...Is there any weapons or anything there?" said the dispatcher.

"No!" said Jennifer. “Just his fists.... Just him, he is punching and hitting...shut up Travis, I'm not talking to you anymore," said Jennifer.

Jennifer appeared in court during her husband's hearing on Thursday.

She defended him and asked if he could move back home.

The judge did not allow them to move back in together but she did allow marriage counseling from now until the Nov. 19 court date.

Kvapil and his wife are also not allowed to be together when traveling to and from races. He is allowed visitation with their three children. ClientIP: UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
