SPRING LAKE, N.C. -- A Fort Bragg soldier is charged with a hit and run Saturday morning that sent a teen to the hospital.

The Fayetteville Observer reports it happened just after midnight on NC 210 near McCormick Bridge Road.

The Highway Patrol says 16-year-old Rasheed Parham was riding his bike when he was hit by 25-year-old David Miller.

Miller turned himself in a few hours later. Troopers say they couldn't determine if he was under the influence at the time of the crash.

Parham was flown to UNC Hospital. He's in critical condition with head and hip injuries.

Troopers say he wasn't wearing a helmet.
