WINSTON-SALEM -- Winston-Salem based Inmar celebrated the opening of its new team support center and headquarters on Monday.

Around 900 employees are based out of the new office located in the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter. City leaders say this is what they'd hoped the district would do.

"Exactly the type of new, innovative, growing, knowledge-based companies that we're trying to attract to Winston-Salem and keep in Winston-Salem as we are rebuilding and refueling this economy based on knowledge industries," said Mayor Allen Joines, City of Winston-Salem.

The Innovation Quarter also announced a collaborative effort with Wake Forest School of Medicine.

The school's Division of Public Health Sciences will move into the Innovation Quarter next month.
