INCREASING HUMIDITY

Friday night football will see the threat for showers & storms

-----------------

TONIGHT:  A few clouds by sunrsie.  Low 60.

THURSDAY:
Plenty of sunshine.  Slightly humid. Continued warm.  High 86.

-----------------

Fog should not be a big issue Thursday morning.  I rather suspect most of our area will be fog free.  We'll notice the "mugginess" returning later in the day Thursday as temps will soar into the mid 80s; well above the seasonal norms of the mid 70s.

A cold front will slowly cross the area Friday evening.  Ahead, and along, the boundary, any number of showers and storms could be active.  The severe threat is low, but a few cells could briefly produce gusty and damaging winds.  We'll see what shows up.

Once the boundary is East, and out, we should clear out Saturday morning and the big feel of Fall will be felt!  Sunday AM may start with some area temps in the upper 30s.

After the brief cold hit, temps will rebound early next week.

Another Warm Day on Thursday, a Cold Front moves in by Late Friday

Current temperatures:

Morning fog gave way to sun and clouds on Wednesday with warm afternoon highs.  We are expecting a similar forecast on Thursday.
Weak high pressure will give the area mostly clear to partly cloudy conditions tonight with some areas of patchy fog overnight into early Thursday morning.
A cold front will approach North Carolina on Friday.  Clouds will increase through the day but we should see day weather during the day.  However, our chances for showers and isolated thunder will increase by Friday night.
Skies should clear by Saturday.

In the tropics, the National Hurricane Center is forecasting no chance for tropical development in the next 3 to 5 days.

WARM DAYS ROLL ON

Weak high pressure will extend along the East Coast again on Thursday and for much of Friday. That means more warmth can be expected with highs in the lower 80s. Enjoy!

A strong cold front will arrive by Friday evening. So, rain and a few gusty storms will be possible at that time. Nonetheless, the front will clear by early Saturday, but look for much cooler temperatures for the upcoming weekend. In fact, highs will likely hold in the 60s for Sunday.

----------

EVENING: Partly cloudy. Temp near 73.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy. Temp near 60.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy, warm. High near 82.
