RAINY SUNDAY, WARMER & DRIER MONDAY
TODAY: Periods of rain. High 53.
TONIGHT: Lingering rain, with a t'storm possible. Becoming breezy. Temps rise through 50s to near 60.
MONDAY: Showers early, then some sunshine. Warmer & breezy. High 72.
The weather won't change much today... it'll stay rainy, with a few storms possible this evening. The more 'favored' area for strong to severe storm development will be east of Charlotte, where damaging wind gusts or an isolated tornado are possible. By the time most of the rain moves out tomorrow morning, we could be adding up an inch or more.
Temps are another story. After a chilly start today, we'll start to climb through the 50s this afternoon and continue that climb into the 60s by tomorrow morning. Highs will top out in the 70s tomorrow afternoon! It will be drier, too, but with some gusty wind.
A cold front will move through tomorrow afternoon mainly dry. It will bring temperatures back down into the 50s for Tuesday, then 40s on Wednesday. If you're traveling on Wednesday around the region, it may involve some rain, as low pressure near the coast could push some showers our way.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
