Cooler Temperatures on the Way for Wednesday

Current temperatures:

Forecast:

We had a very nice weather day on Tuesday with sun, a few clouds and very warm temperatures.  We did see a few more clouds by late Tuesday as a cold front slowly pushed across North Carolina.  High pressure will build into the area on Wednesday.  This will give us cooler afternoon highs and breezy conditions.  Temperatures will slowly warm into the end of the week and by the weekend afternoon highs will be back in the 70s.

In the tropics, we continue to watch a potential system in the Gulf of Mexico.  There is a chance that it could slowly develop into a depression in the next 24 to 48 hours.

A BIT COOLER AGAIN...

Back on the mild side this weekend

Another cold front is crossing the area tonight, with clouds and breezy conditions.  Again, most areas are staying dry, outside of a few possible sprinkles or an isolated light shower.

The front will draw in some cooler air for the next couple days.  Highs will be back in the low-mid 60s, with some early-AM temps in the upper 30s.  We're still not seeing any good chance of rain until maybe, just maybe, early next week.  A ridge of high pressure will be in charge over the weekend, giving us more sunshine, along with milder temps again in the 70s!

----------

OVERNIGHT:  Slight chance sprinkles/shower.  Partly cloudy & breezy.  Low 45.

WEDNESDAY:  Mostly sunny.  High 64.
