UNSETTLED IT WILL BE

COOL TEMPS

--------------------

TONIGHT:  Periods of scattered showers, a few storms.  Low 67.

FRIDAY:  Scattered showers and thunderstorms likely.  High 78.

-------------------

Boundary in the zone, and it will stay in the zone for the next few days.  Bit of a wedge'esq set up.  Just enough of an issue to keep us cooler than norm and soggier than we'd like.  Plan for rain, celebrate the "lulls" through the weekend.

Clouds, Showers and Storms, The Forecast Through the Weekend

Current temperatures:

Forecast:

Thursday brought clouds and a few showers to our area.  That chance for rain will continue to increase into Friday and will stay with us through the weekend.

Lots
of moisture will continue to move up across North Carolina through the night.  Combine this with a frontal boundary that will back in from the Atlantic and you set the stage for a good chance for showers and thunderstorms.

We'll see clouds and a few showers through the rest of the night.  The chance for showers and isolated storms increases on Friday.

These conditions will persist through the weekend and that means more showers and thunderstorms through the weekend.  Rainfall amounts could reach an inch or more in many areas and there is the possibility
of isolated flooding in areas that receive heavier rains.

In the tropics, there is a area disturbed weather that we continue
to monitor for development.  There is a potential for some strengthening with this system in the coming days.

HERE COMES THE RAIN

---------

We have been treated to some beautiful weather recently but you had to know it wouldn't last. Sure enough, big changes are underway as moisture begins to stream in from the south. We had plenty of clouds and a little rain Thursday but there is plenty more on the way. There is a stalled front out near the coast that isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Disturbances moving along that front will keep the moisture coming right through the weekend. So, for the next few days at least, expect periods of rain that may be heavy at times with a few thunderstorms too. Be safe out there!

----------

TONIGHT: Rain likely. Thunder possible  Low 67.

FRIDAY: Showers and storms likely.  High 77.

SATURDAY: Showers and storms likely.  High 79.
